The Rohnerville Air Attack Base was established in 1964 and is located on the east end of the Rohnerville Airport near the City of Fortuna.

The CFPA pilots operate one OV-10 Bronco, A120, and one S-2T, T96, airtanker. The base’s immediate response area covers nearly 4 million acres including all of Humboldt County and portions of Del Norte, Siskiyou, Trinity and Mendocino counties and  also includes parts of the Six Rivers National Forest.
